You have to be over 16 and either live or work in Norfolk. You can start saving
and apply for a loan at the same time when you apply for membership. We have a
separate Young Savers Club for those of any age
below 16.
We suggets that, if possible you read the application form before you visit our
branch in Watton. Out volunteers will help with filing in the form should you
want this.

You need to bring to our office proof of identity and address for you
application to be sucessful. Please read the attached document carefully and
please note only origional documents can be accepted.
Identity Requirements
If you are a tenant of one of the local Housing Associations you should mention
this when applying as this will speed up the vetting process.
As a Member you will receive a Membership Number and a Member's Passbook for
transactions in local branches of the Norfolk Credit Union. Your Passbook can be
updated at any time by forwardding it to our Head Office in Long Stratton.
Your savings and loans will normally be covered by free insurance:

You will also receive a Paypoint Card for making cash savings and loan
repayments at all branches of the Post Office and other Paypoint locations.

Your savings are known as shares. This is because all
members are shareholders. There are no other shareholders in the Nofolk Credit
Union but the members. As a Member and Shareholder of the Norfolk Credit Union Ltd.
you can come to Annual Board Meetings where you are entitled to vote.
You must pay a one-off administration of £1 for joining,
and purchase a minimum of on share (also £1), these can be deducted from your
first standing order payment.
